2016 Puerto Rico Day 5

Today is a simple day to blog about.  We spent the day at the Balbeario Monsrrat Beach and we went to dinner at Pasta y Pueblo Restaurant in Luquillo.

We brought the boogey boards found in the apartment along with LoriAnn and my snorkel masks.  The water was to silty to see much beyond a arm length.  But it was great practice for Tom and Megan in preparation to snorkeling on Friday.  Because there wasn't much surf, the board din't help much than to hang onto in the water. We still had fun playing and splashing in the water.

We made a short stop at the grocery store for more bottled water and food.  When we got back to the apartment, the gate to the parking lot did not open.  Tom got out and pushed it opened so we could park.  It was still open when we went to bed.

For dinner we went to the Pablo y Pasta restaurant in luquillo.  We tried to go there on Monday night but it was closed. Its hard to find this location and you may give up before you do.  Don't give up.  Its a little restaurant with only eight tables, and magnificent food.  It is easy to find from the ocean side, with some limited off street parking if needed.  Because of the small size the wait can be long.  We waited about 30 minutes.  Julio ensured we had plenty of Sangria (we bought a pitcher) and kept us informed when wewould be seated.

The menu is simple; an entry with a side of pasta or rice.  I had some excellant scallops and pasta with some carbanerra sauce that was to die for.  Megan had the chicken with pasta with the same sauce.  Tom had grilled coconut shrimp with curry sauce that he loved.  LoriAnn had grouper fish wine reduction butter sause, pasta with pesto sauce that she loved.  On the way in LoriAnn and I were chatting with other couples that were raving about the mussles. When wewere seated they had already recieved their appetizers and offered to give LoriAnn a taste of a mussle.  She loved it!    Tom is already planning a return trip on Friday...  If it fits in plans....
