Visiting Branson

Since my wife and visit Branson Mo so much, people ask us for our input on what to do in the area. Here is the latest I have recently said.

Branson Show
There are some popular shows that are selling out. You might want to book before you get here. Top two that we recommend are very hard to get into.
- Sight and sound: currently Miracle of Christmas
- Haygoods

Other good shows we recommend are:
- Clay Cooper
- Pierce Arrow
- Hughes Brothers 
- Duttons
- Stampede

There are so many others that are good...
Check out The Little Opry for example.

We had a bad experience at Six in October 24, and know that Baldknobbers is struggling.

Silver Dollar City! 
We don't ride rides, but the shows are great and included in your admission.

Currently its Christmas Time and there are two Broadway level shows

- Spoken for Quartet: Christmas to remember 

And the train ride is especially fun with a sing along ride and a surprise train stop.

Lodging
As for places to stay...
We utilize the resorts in the area. There may be cabins but we are not aware of them. The resorts have multiple bedrooms and some level of kitchen. Although the resorts usually are time share, you can still rent from them. They usually don't ask renters but SAY NO! If they ask you to attend a short presentation.

- Hyatt Vacation Club

Branson is very popular Christmas vacation spot. We have seen numerous luxury busses full of tourists. Not sure where they stay. But the loads of people do impact price and availability.

Two more items...
A good grocery store is PRICE CHOPPER, located next to Walmart on hwy 76.

There are short cuts around town. They are identified as Blue, Red, Green, and yellow routes. The quickest route is not rt 76 strip thru town

Don't we ever learn from History!

Public Meeting to be held to discusses High-Speed Rail between Minneapolis and Duluth  and could cost between $500 million and $600 million. Didn't we have a passenger train rail line between St Paul and Duluth? Oh yeah... It failed due to lack of ridership. What about the tracks? Oh yeah... They are now bike paths between White Bear and North Branch. Don't get me wrong, I love trains... But they need to be self sustaining... April 8th My birthday and an eclipse

This year, April 8th not only represents the completion of my 67th trip around the sun, but it will be a chance for me to experience a solar eclipse totality. Consequently,  I have placed myself in a location to enjoy both my birthday and this solar event. I've heard of the many dire predictions of catastrophic events at the time of the eclipse. Included in this is the Salem Ninevah prediction of Jesus's return. Be assured I'm at peace.  Christ may return at anytime, but that date and time is unknown to man. And if he does surprise us, and comes back monday, I know that I'll walk with him in heaven.  And if the earth shakes and I'm swallowed up in the chaos, my destination will be the same.  I believe that God will not allow this planet to be destroyed while His children still inhabit it.  And if I'm left behind along with the rest of the calamity of survivors digging out, I'm prepared to battle satan while I can.
